Shredding vs. Burning
Is shredding enough? Or should you burn documents?
A common concern for businesses handling sensitive documents.
Why shredding is better
Level P-4 particle cut produces 4×10mm unreadable particles that are virtually impossible to reconstruct. It is safe, clean, and environmentally responsible, and shredded paper can still often be directed into recycling streams with proper handling.
Why burning is risky
Burning paper can release harmful fumes from inks and coatings, is not always complete, and is restricted in many urban areas. It also destroys the paper completely, leaving nothing to recover or recycle.
The verdict: A Level P-4 shredder like the Venger VG-150 offers secure, reliable document destruction while preserving the possibility of recycling — without the hazards, legal risks, or waste of burning.
F.A.Q.
Frequently asked questions.
Common questions about the Venger VG-150 paper shredder.
What is the warranty coverage for the VG-150?
How long can I shred continuously?
The VG-150 can shred continuously for up to 15 minutes, approximately 150 sheets. After a full cycle, let the machine rest for 1 hour to protect the motor.
What happens when the bin is full?
The VG-150 automatically stops shredding when the 30-litre bin reaches capacity. Simply empty the bin and resume operation.
Can I shred CDs, DVDs, and cards?
Yes. The VG-150 has a separate cutting unit and bin specifically for CDs, DVDs, and cards. Do not mix these with the paper feed slot.
What if the machine jams?
The VG-150 automatically stops if too much paper is inserted. Remove excess paper and restart. Avoid mixing different paper sizes in the automatic feed to prevent jams.
Can I mix different paper sizes in the auto feed?
No. Avoid using the automatic feed if paper sizes vary significantly, as this may cause a paper jam. Use the manual feed slot for odd-sized documents instead.
What is the security level of the VG-150?
The VG-150 shreds at Level P-4, producing 4 x 10 mm particles, ensuring sensitive documents are fully destroyed and unreadable.
Where is the power switch?

What are the machine dimensions and weight?
The VG-150 measures 520 x 444 x 360 mm (H x W x D) and weighs 14.5 kg. It comes with rolling casters for easy movement.
